Reading Room
The Reading Room provides a calm and disciplined environment
for academic study and reference work for students and staff.
General Information
- Opening Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Student Strength: 150
All titles available in the library may be used in the Reading Room.
Reference materials are strictly for in-house use only
and cannot be issued for home reading.
Reading Room Timings
- Working Days: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Sundays & Holidays: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Issue Timing for Students: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Current volumes of journals and magazines are available for reference
in the Reading Room.
Study Centre Rules

The Study Centre of the Central Library, SIET
remains open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Each student may be issued one document
(Book / Journal / Magazine / Newspaper etc.) at a time
on production of a valid Identity Card.
Entry without an ID card is not permitted.

Students are not allowed to take books,
journals or other documents outside the Study Centre.

A borrower may change the document once
during their stay. Except newspapers, documents cannot
be changed before completion of one hour.

Silence and discipline must be strictly maintained
inside the Study Centre.

Arrangement of chairs and tables must not be disturbed
under any circumstances.

Any person causing disturbance, talking loudly, or blocking
passageways may be fined and deprived of library facilities
if the offence is repeated.

Photocopying of articles may be done inside the library
on payment of charges fixed by the college.
